This could be a suicide note. THE AFTERMATH, finding balance.

The follow up. An amazing response. I really hoped those who read the blog would understand the point of it. What I actually posted was the second version, the first was a vindictive rant. Whilst a common phrase we hear is, ‘it’s not about you’, in this case it very definitely was; but that means you need to tone down the way you write.

There has to be a balance between the content you use and the message you want to give. And the way it is likely to be received.

You want people to receive the message, however, you don’t want to upset or offend them either.  There’s a balance to be found.

I felt I got it about right and the majority of the responses seem to indicate that I did.

The person who possibly had the greatest right to feel offended, didn’t and engaged very positively in support of the post.

HUMBLED!

I did slightly adjust one comment, and that resulted in another positive engagement from one who also had a right to feel offended.

I received a reaction from another party, who later obviously thought about the message they sent and their reaction and then acted positively.

The real positives though, were those who got in contact and said, ‘that’s been life this year so far, I totally resonate with what you wrote’.

One example is the gentleman who, to the outside world has it sorted, he looks to have everything a person could want.

RESPECT!

Empathy, you are not alone.

Whatever you are feeling, you are not alone!

I look forward to meeting these people.

The lady who came down to the ‘meet and greet’, who has endured a life far tougher than I.

And I mean far tougher!

She’s still here!

RESPECT!

Those who engaged and are looking to make changes.

RESPECT!

Even family members who I’m sure normally just ‘humour’ the old fella engaged.

RESPECT!

I received lots of messages supporting me personally, I thank you all, that wasn’t what I was looking for, or what the post was about really, however I am so grateful to you for those messages.

We are alive NOW, now is the only moment that matters.

However, whatever we do now can have massive consequences. There has to be a balance between reacting and delivering considered content.

Between reacting, acting and spending so much time considering the consequences we do nothing.

As I mentioned, the difference between a single item, and being one small part of a bigger picture can be massive.

Mental, Mind, health needs to be a part of conversation, openly.

Everyday conversation.

We are all living our lives and with our own thoughts and we are not here for very long.

It is our sole (soul) responsibility to be happy, as long as it is not at the expense of other people.

……………………………..

I am going to post this to exactly the same platforms and in the same way that I did yesterday in the hopes that as many people will see it and engage as did yesterday.

What I can’t do though is post it at the same time on the same day, and maybe that’s the real point. We can never get back what we have done.

Let’s look after each other.
